year old's are most exposed to Ai. Jobs have fallen roughly 13% since late 2022. Conversely, employment for over 35's in the same jobs remained strong. That's not just an AI scare story. It's a precise one. The jobs disappearing are the ones that used to be how you learned the job; the first-draft writing, the entry-level coding, the junior analysis. Ai can now do that work well enough for companies to consider not hiring people. Which means the career ladder where you join a company, do the grunt work and get promoted has a step missing at the bottom. You can't climb a ladder that isn't there. I don't see this is a temporary dip, this is the new floor.
