Salesforce's outbound agent is called Hunter. It's built to work your pipeline for months, not minutes. Salesforce shipped seven named AI agents on 11 September. Casey handles service. Piper qualifies
inbound. Hunter does outbound — pilot now, general availability slated for November. The names are marketing. The job description is not. Hunter isn't built to draft one email. It's built to work a pipeline across weeks and months: research, sequence, follow up, pick a thread back up in March because something changed. Think about what that removes. Persistence used to be evidence. When someone followed up five times over a quarter with something new each time, the effort was the signal — a person had decided you were worth their afternoon. That's what made the sixth email land. From November, persistence is a checkbox. Every competitor you have will be followed up on indefinitely, politely, and on time. So the signal moves, the way it always does. What survives is anything requiring access the agent doesn't have: what a buyer told you on a call, a constraint they haven't published, a number from inside your own operation, an opinion you'd have to defend in a room. Practically — stop investing in cadence. You will lose that race to software in November and every month after it. Invest instead in the two or three sentences that could only have been written by someone who was actually there. If your sequence would still make sense with the company name swapped out, an agent is already writing it better than you, and cheaper. Strip out cadence and volume, and what's left in your outbound that a well-briefed agent couldn't have written? #Outbound #AgenticAI #B2BSales
